Australia, get ready — the magic of the holidays is about to return to the stage!

The five-time Tony Award®-winning production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is making its triumphant return to Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre this festive season. Taking on the legendary role of Ebenezer Scrooge is none other than Lachy Hulme, one of Australia’s most celebrated and versatile actors of stage and screen.

Hulme’s career is a masterclass in range and charisma. From starring in the blockbuster Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga to earning critical acclaim in Melbourne Theatre Company’s The Speechmaker, his presence always commands attention. Television audiences know him well from the beloved drama Offspring, while his riveting portrayal of media mogul Sir Frank Packer in Power Games: The Packer–Murdoch Story won him both a Silver Logie and an AACTA Award.

With more casting announcements on the way, anticipation is building fast — and for good reason. This production has become a cherished Melbourne holiday tradition, delighting audiences year after year with its heart, humour, and holiday spirit.

✨ Don’t miss your chance to experience the wonder! Gather your loved ones and book your tickets today for a truly unforgettable Christmas celebration.
