A rare opportunity has become available for male and female dancers to join Australian Dance Theatre, based in Adelaide, Australia under the Artistic Direction of Garry Stewart.
Australian Dance Theatre is Australia’s pre-eminent contemporary dance company. It has a well established international profile and tours regularly throughout national and international regions.
The company is looking for strong, highly skilled and thoughtful contemporary dancers, who have a minimum of three years professional contemporary dance experience.
The successful applicant will be offered a full one year contract commencing in May 2018 and will be required to relocate to Adelaide in South Australia.

This audition is an open audition therefore support material is for reference only. However, ADT retains the right to exclude from the audition any applicants who do not meet the minimum of three years professional contemporary dance experience criteria as evidenced by your CV.
ADT Youth Ensemble
Auditions for the 2018 Youth Ensemble are being held from our studios on Wednesday 1 February 2018 from 4.30pm – 6.30pm.
Participation in the Youth Ensemble will provide essential, unmatched experience to aspiring professional dancers, with performance opportunities at upcoming Festivals and events.
To audition, applicants must: be aged between 14-20 years old, perform at an intermediate/advanced level in contemporary dance; be athletic, resilient, quick thinking, and passionate about dance and although not mandatory an intermediate or advanced level in classical ballet is preferable.
Successful applicants will be required to participate rehearsals on Thursdays (4.30 – 7.00pm) at Australian Dance Theatre’s studios. The cost of participation in the Youth Ensemble is $230 per term (class fees) plus additional costs (tba) for travel & costumes for performances.
Applicants under the age of 18 must have parent/guardians permission to participate in the audition.
