Lion Heart Dance Company Announces Audition Opportunity

Lion Heart Dance Company will hold an audition for its new show, Fabricated, on May 22nd at The Space Dance and Arts Centre, 318 Chapel St, Prahran VIC 3181.

There will be a 10 week rehearsal period, beginning in the first week of June.
The show will premiere 17th August 2016 at Chapel Off Chapel.
This is a paid opportunity.
Dancers will be entitled to a profit share, subsidised classes, mentoring opportunities, free show reel and photography material. Fabricated will be a contemporary dance work, focusing on the real and imagined iterations of a relationship.
Dancers are required to be highly skilled in ballet, jazz and contemporary.
Pointe work and pas de deux experience will be highly regarded, however are not essential for all roles.
Lion Heart Dance Company is dedicated to fostering an understanding and enjoyment of dance amongst the community and also supporting young dancers in their career pursuits.
We will be offering two secondment positions during this creative process.
Additionally, Lion Heart will also be running an associated school’s workshop program on 19th August where secondary school students and full time dance students are able to take a class with the company director, Benjamin Curé, watch a matinee performance of the show and participate in a Q&A with the entire cast and crew after the show.
This creates a unique opportunity for students to directly interact with a professional company.
