Dance Artists in Residence Program

Round 2 Applications Close May 26th

Ausdance NSW’s Dance Artists in Residence (DAIR) second round is now open for residencies from June-December 2017. Ausdance NSW invites independent dance artists, collectives, collaborators and companies of any dance genre to submit proposals for the 2017 program.
This program provides space in-kind for NSW based dance artists. This member exclusive program provides you a way to get your new project to its next stage.
DAIR is a direct response to the ongoing challenges of access to affordable and appropriate spaces to dance artists for the development of dance making and practice. DAIR activities may involve creative development, research, mentorships, rehearsal and remounting of work. Applicants can apply for a residency of one or two weeks.
DAIR Round 2 applications opened Friday 28th April 2017 and will close Friday 26th May 2017 at 5pm.
To be eligible, primary applicants should be NSW-based and an Ausdance NSW member, however collaborators may be interstate or internationally-based. You can become a member here: www.ausdancensw.com.au
DAIR recipients receive:

  • Residency space at host venue
  • Pre-residency planning support from Ausdance NSW via a 30 minute phone call, Skype or face to face meeting
    DAIR round #1 Recipients

  • Administrative support from Ausdance NSW for the showing of work during residency (if required)
  • Promotion of artist/residency through Ausdance NSW e-news and social media
