Relaunched National Tour Dates for Global Hit Irish Dance Show in August-October

Live Band and 15 Dancers Performing Non-Stop Irish Hits

Fittingly announced on St Patrick’s Day, the new revised national tours dates for Australian-created hit new Irish rock show EIREBORNE have been released after the original March-May dates were postponed. The show will now tour over August – October 2021.

Note: Tickets purchased tickets for the postponed tour will be valid for the new dates. However, if a refund is required this can be arranged by contacting the venue.

Following huge success in Australia and Europe, this hit Australian production has been re-scheduled from earlier this year and is ready to thrill audiences around the country.

Like so many events, due to COVID-19, EIREBORNE had to be postponed. However, tour promoter Brad Mellen, Director of Mellen Events, can’t wait for the relaunch. “Various border and event restrictions forced our hand previously, however we are delighted to be finally able to tour again now,” he said. “This event is a truly phenomenal assemblage of Irish talent, charm, and captivating song and dance.”

Australian-created hit new Irish rock show, EIREBORNE, has taken off around the globe after sell-out success in Australia and Europe and is now returning by popular demand. EIREBORNE is more than an Irish dance show. It’s a current and contemporary theatrical experience like no other, taking traditional Irish music and dance to a whole new level to a new audience.

Far from just another Irish dance show, this riveting rock show production is an unparalleled theatrical experience, showcasing 15 incredible Irish dancers rockin’ out to a soundtrack of the biggest hits from Irish sensations including U2, Snow Patrol, Van Morrison, Hozier, The Script, The Cranberries, and more. Performed by a live six-piece band with two lead vocalists, this frenetic and fantastic show promises to thrill audiences nation-wide.

Showcasing a fast-paced 90-minute spectacle with larger-than-life individuals and multi-talented artists on stage, EIREBORNE is a concert performance with a noticeable point of difference within its genre … It’s 100% live on stage!

The lead narrator of the show, played by Toby Francis (fresh from We Will Rock You: Arena Spectacular), welcomes his rocking band with Reigan Derry (Australian Idol, Scarlett Belle, X Factor) on lead vocals performing both traditional and modern world-famous Irish hits. Dancers from international Irish shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance kick up their heels, performing traditional and modern Irish dance as well as ballroom and tap.

Fronting the 15-strong dance ensemble is former Riverdance cast member Peta Anderson. Along with creating and co-directing the production, Peta’s choreography showcases her unique ability to fuse the styles of Irish dance with tap rhythms and beats. Peta was the winner of Irish RTE’s Dance Off, a lead dancer in the Drama Desk Award nominated off-Broadway Irish production Noctu and is a Capezio sponsored athlete. She is also performing in Drummer Queens, which she also choreographed, and is also touring nationally.

“When I first created the concept of Eireborne I wanted to feature Irish dancers in a way we haven’t been seen before!” Peta explains, “Eireborne allowed me to push the boundaries as the choreographer and revolutionise Irish dance which shows just how versatile and mesmerising Irish dance can be.”

EIREBORNE’s return to the Australian stage is supported as part of the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund – an Australian Government initiative to provide creative and cultural experiences to audiences across Australia.

EIREBORNE is directed by Nigel Turner Carroll (The Tap Pack, Twists and Turns starring Olympic gold medallist Matthew Mitcham, Back to Bacharach starring Casey Donovan, and Resident Director on Grease the Arena Spectacular).  Concept/Executive Producer is Maryanne Fogarty-Morello (Riverdance, and 9x Australian Open Irish Dance Champion); Choreographer/Co-Producer is Peta Anderson; and the musical director is Andy Horvath.
