New Breed

Sydney Dance Company

This week four boundary-pushing works opened to an incredible reception at New Breed 2023, marking the tenth anniversary of this vital program. Don’t miss this strictly limited season showing until 16 December.

This year’s program features diverse and powerful works: Beau Dean Riley Smith‘s Gubba explores Australia’s dark colonial history; Somewhere between ten and fourteen by Tra Mi Dinh visualises the passage of time at twilight; Eliza Cooper‘s bold piece Revenge Tales and Romance questions what it means to employ archetype, symbolism and narrative; Everyb0dy’s g0t a B0mb by Riley Fitzgerald captures the euphoria of Émile Durkheim’s ‘collective effervescence’.
