Experience Two New Choreographic Labs with Renata Commisso & Gabriela Olea

DirtyFeet’s Choreographic Labs provide a safe environment where early career professionals can come together to explore their creative practice. The Lab builds relationships between artists, facilitates the development of methodology and skills, and can be the first steps towards the creation of new work.

The next two Labs provide dancers the opportunity to work with Renata Commisso in August and Gabriela Green Olea in October.

Renata’s project is entitled Interchange and she says of her Lab: “Interchange is a collaboration of multi-disciplinary artists, where we share, learn, collaborate and create. For this choreographic lab we are looking for artists to begin a multi-disciplinary work about Solutions. To research and focus on the process of solving problems. What does it take to be a problem solver?”

Gabriela’s Lab is entitled Spaces of Belonging and says: “Spaces of Belonging is an interactive performance exhibition where performers create visceral experiences to share. We will dive into an inquiry of self in relation to the concept of belonging, finding this space within our bodies and in our dance and then designing experiences that we can offer outwards as an artwork.”
