Prix de Lausanne

September 27 – 29, 2024

The Prix de Lausanne is thrilled to announce that an Asia-Pacific Preselection will be held in Macau from 27 to 29 September 2024.

In a valued collaboration with SJM Resorts, S.A., an owner and operator of integrated resorts and luxury hospitality services in Macau, they are pleased to announce a significant opportunity for dancers from the Asia-Pacific region. For the first time since 2022, the Prix de Lausanne is holding a preselection in Asia, and for the very first time in the city of Macau SAR, China, highlighting its dedication to nurturing artistic talent and expanding opportunities within the global dance community. The preselection will be taking place at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, where up to 4 chosen dancers will have all expenses paid to participate in the 2025 Prix de Lausanne competition.

I am deeply aware of the rich pool of dance talent in the Asia-Pacific region, which is an integral part of the global dance community. It is both exciting and an honor to conduct our preselection for the first time in the exceptional setting of Macau. This new initiative allows us to directly engage with the extraordinary talent in this region. We are also immensely grateful for the support of our sponsor, SJM Resorts, S.A., whose partnership enhances our efforts to foster artistic excellence and provide transformative opportunities for these emerging artists.  Kathryn Bradney, Artistic & Executive Director of the Prix de Lausanne

About SJM Resorts, S.A.

SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) is a leading owner, operator, and developer of premier integrated entertainment resorts in Macau, with the Lisboa brand grown to become synonymous with the city. SJM laid the foundation for Macau’s growth over the past decades and continues to invest as Macau grows into a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure. SJM is a principal subsidiary of the Hong Kong-listed SJM Holdings Limited (HKEx 880).

The Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau is SJM’s newest flagship in Cotai, and the newest integrated resort in Macau. Inspired by European monumental buildings juxtaposed with traditional Chinese motifs, the resort celebrates the confluence of East and West, and brings out the rich cultural heritage of Macau. The property offers 1,890 luxurious rooms and suites in three distinctively designed hotel towers – the modern Chinoiserie-style Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, the one and only THE KARL LAGERFELD MACAU, and Asia’s first Palazzo Versace Macau. It is the only resort in the world to house two fashion-branded hotel towers. Other facilities include diverse cuisines underpinned by SJM’s industry-leading culinary expertise, a 75,000-square-metre retail mall, versatile meeting and event venues, exclusive spa and wellness facilities in each hotel tower, as well as exciting entertainment options.
