Celebrate Street Wear, Urban Lifestyles, Dance and Fashion this Weekend in Melbourne

16 & 17 February

This weekend sees the return of Australia’s largest streetwear and lifestyle cultural event in Melbourne – Ego Expo.

Making its return to Melbourne, Ego Expo is THE destination to celebrate the growing street and urban scene. Not only does the expo unite lovers of street culture over a weekend packed with fashion, sneakers, music, food, dance, art and basketball, it also gives event goers the opportunity to learn new skills from industry professionals across fashion, social media and business entrepreneurs – all of whom are eager to share their stories with like-minded audiences.

Witness some of Australia’s best street fashion (more than 70 street wear brands), and enjoy a weekend jam packed with entertainment including:

  • R&B and Rap Performances by Underground Australian Artists/Performers
  • Street Dance Battles
  • Live Tattooing (flash sheets and pre-booked clients from renowned Melbourne tattoo studios)
  • Barber Shop Hair Cuts
  • Live Street Art Murals
  • Virtual Reality Experiences
  • Street Ball Slam Dunk Competition and Giveaways
  • Live Customised Sneakers and Watches
  • Loads of Door Prizes and Brand Activations from Global Street wear Brands

Ego, one of the largest street expos in Australia, is a first-of-its-kind for fashion-forward enthusiasts. The event has established itself as a melting pot of street culture, bringing a huge range of apparel, design and expression to the space through its epic pop-up activations and performances across the 2 day event.

The best in Australian street fashion will be showcased through a series of live and exclusive runways featuring more than 70 streetwear brands, including Superdry, Volley, Nena and Pasadena, just to name a few. Guests will also discover new, independent designers with the opportunity to buy from their ready-now collections.

Attendees will play witness to epic urban dance and rap performances, and also enjoy the live street ball action on indoor basketball half-courts. Of course, all of this will work up an appetite, which is why Ego Expo will have delicious food trucks and drink varieties available, all of which have been specially selected for the expo.

This year, Ego Expo 2019 has proudly aligned with Christmas on the Streets Charity, and will donate $1 from every ticket sold to help raise awareness of the organisation and provide shelter for those experiencing homelessness.

The event is family-friendly and open to all ages. So, check out the vast world of Melbourne’s incredible street and urban culture. An official Industry After Party will be held after Sunday exclusively at LUX Melbourne, Level 1/373 Chapel St, South Yarra.
