The Family Panto Returns – Audition Now!

Gold Coast – March 5 & 6 – THIS WEEKEND!

(Sydney & Melbourne Auditions have concluded)

SEEKING CHILDREN’S CAST + LOST BOYS + FEMALE ENSEMBLE

LOST BOYS need to be strong Hip Hop dancers +17yrs, no taller than 5’10, look like teens, and with loads of personality!!

Bonnie Lythgoe is bringing her family pantomime back to Australia! After the success of her Cinderella panto in Sydney in 2016, she will present the world premiere of The Adventures of Peter Pan & Tinker Bell in Return to PantoLand in June and July which will tour to Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne.

It will play at the Gold Coast Arts Centre from June 23 – July 1; Sydney’s State Theatre from July 7-16 then Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre from July 21-30.

This enchanting story will feature top Australian performers, sumptuous glittering sets, spectacular effects, gorgeous fairytale costumes, fantastic song and dance numbers, infectious and riotous comedy magic and bags of audience participation. Fun and laughter is guaranteed for the whole family from ages 3 to 103!
Todd McKenny has already been cast as the evil Captain Hook (Boooooo!!), alongside Tim Maddren (Hi-5) as Peter Pan, Jaime Hadwen as Tinkerbell, and Katrina Rettalick and Robyn Loau.

OPEN CALL AUDITIONS are being held for the Children’s, ‘Lost Boys’ and Ensemble casts in each city. Be advised that these are Open Call Auditions, so please read the below information carefully prior to auditions. All casting positions are professional paid positions and some will require touring interstate.

CASTING DETAILS

JUVENILES:
SEEKING: Boys & Girls – Ages 7-13 Inclusive
REQUIREMENTS:
  Maximum height 150cm
  Technical dance experience in Ballet and Modern Jazz
  Strong Vocal Ability with Character Personality
  Must be available for full time Rehearsal and Performance Season
PREPARATION:
  Please bring with you a Headshot and 1 Page performance experience CV
  Please ensure you wear sensible footwear that is appropriate for dance
  Please bring with you a water bottle or snacks as you may be required to spend most of the day
  Please familiarise yourself with the following Music Selections as part of the Audition: C’est La Vie – Be*Witched, Can’t Stop The Feeling – Justin Timberlake

LOST BOYS
SEEKING: Males who are 17+ but have a stage look of 15-16 years of age
REQUIREMENTS:
  Must be over 17 years old / Maximum age 25
  Must be under 177.5cm (5’10”) in height
  Strong technical dance experience in Modern Hip-Hop, Funk, B-Boy or Breakdancing styles
  Distinct and Unique personalities with strong stage presence and energy
  The ability to sing would also be advantageous
  Must be available for full time Rehearsal and Performance Season June 12 – July 30 Inclusive
  These casting positions will tour with production interstate

PREPARATION:
  Please bring with you a Headshot and 1 Page performance experience CV
  Please ensure you bring suitable footwear for dance
  Please bring with you a water bottle as you may be required to spend most of the day
  Please ensure you are relatively warmed up prior to Audition
  Although not compulsory, If you feel you have sound singing ability, Please prepare; – 16 bars of an up-tempo pop song or ballad – You must bring your own backing track via iPhone, iPod or any other Playback Device, CD or USB
  Those successful in this first round of auditions will be required to attend a final call back audition on Tuesday 6 March 2017 at the Gold Coast Arts Centre.
FEMALE ENSEMBLE
SEEKING: Female Dancers 18-30 (either professional or pre-professional full time)
REQUIREMENTS:
  Must be over 18 years old
  Technical dance experience in Ballet and Modern Jazz
PREPARATION:
  Please bring with you a Headshot and 1 Page performance experience CV
  Please ensure you bring chorus heels, jazz and pointe shoes
  Dress to Impress
  Please bring with you a water bottle as you may be required to spend most of the day
  Please ensure you are relatively warmed up prior to Audition
  If you feel you have sound singing ability, Please prepare; – 16 bars of an up-tempo pop song or ballad – You must bring your own backing track via iPhone, iPod or any other Playback Device, CD or USB
