Step through the looking glass and into a world of wonder! Following sell-out seasons in Brisbane and Singapore, the breathtaking new production Cirque Alice will make its Sydney premiere at the Coliseum Theatre, Rooty Hill, for a strictly limited season from 24 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

From the award-winning creators of Le Noir and The Illusionists — Simon Painter and Tim Lawson — this spectacular new show reimagines Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland as a dazzling cirque experience filled with breathtaking acrobatics, mesmerising aerials, and theatrical magic for all ages.

“The tales of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland provide the perfect backdrop for a magical cirque narrative,” said Simon Painter, Creative Producer. “Filled with eccentric characters and whimsical settings, this production is one of the most groundbreaking we’ve ever created.”

 A Wonderland Brought to Life

Audiences will be transported down the rabbit hole into an immersive world of colour, creativity, and pure spectacle. Expect aerialists, acrobats, contortionists, puppetry, live vocals, and world-class magic — all performed beneath an awe-inspiring set with on-stage cabaret seating, placing guests right in the heart of the action.

Adding to the magic, the show’s soundtrack features remixed classical favourites and new musical arrangements by Martin Raabe-Olsen and Marius Christiansen.

“Whether you’re on a date night or bringing the whole family, Cirque Alice is a jaw-dropping experience,” said Executive Producer Tim Lawson. “It dazzles audiences of all ages with acts set around one of the world’s most enchanting stories.”

 World-Class Talent and Creative Team

Producer Richard Errington, CEO of West HQ, said:

“Sydney’s west has never seen a circus performance quite like this. It’s a rare opportunity to witness world-class acrobatics, incredible vocals, and spectacular costuming — right here in our own backyard.”

The creative team features:

  • Creative Directors: Ash Jacks McCready & Kirsty Painter
  • Choreography: Dane Bates
  • Costume Design: Angela Aaron
  • Lighting Design: Hugo Mercier
  • Music Arrangements: Martin Raabe-Olsen & Marius Christiansen

The cast — to be announced soon — will include some of the world’s most extraordinary cirque and magic artists, including stars from America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League and other international sensations.

“The lineup features the finest acrobatic, music, dance and magic performers ever seen in Australia,” Painter said. “These acts will truly leave Sydney audiences spellbound.”
