Daniel Assetta wins the 2015 Rob Guest Endowment Award

2015 Rob Guest Winner - Daniel Assetta

Daniel Assetta has emerged victorious over the other five finalists to take home the major $20,000 cash development award at last night’s prestigious Rob Guest Endowment Award.
The other finalists, who each take home $1,500, are: Blake Appelqvist, Hilary Cole, Georgina Hopson, Rob McDougall and Ashleigh Rubenach.
The glitzy grand final concert evening was held on the Matilda stage at The Lyric Theatre in Sydney and was judged by Kelley Abbey (DanceLife Unite National Ambassador!), Peter Casey and Gale Edwards.
Named after the late Rob Guest, these awards recognise young talent in the musical theatre industry in Australia and are now moving into their 8th year.
Last year, Daniel received the ‘Playbill Future Prospect Award’ at the Awards and has carved out a very successful career at a young age. He is currently performing in CATS as the re-invented, rapping Rum Tum Tugger and made his musical theatre review in Wicked in 2013. He has also appeared in Opera Australia productions of Carmen, Tosca, Turandot and The Magic Flute.
