Dancehouse – Thinking bodies, moving minds

This year, Dancehouse steps into its 20th year of providing dance artists a space and platform to work and grow their ideas into successful shows. Over the years industrious artists and generous stakeholders have invested funds, energy, time and trust into this venture.

To celebrate, Dancehouse will be bursting with action in February:

JAYACHANDRAN PALAHZY WORKSHOP -4-5 Feb

DANCEHOUSE

International guest class featuring Jay’s own unique movement vocabulary through his training in both traditional Indian dance forms and contemporary at London School of Contemporary Dance. Jay is also Artistic Director of Attakkalari India Biennial, an international festival of dance and digital arts. Workshops will incorporate yoga based stretches, movement principles and concepts of Indian classical dance.
Date: Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 February

SUMMER TRAINING INTENSIVE – 13-24 Feb

Week 1 (Feb 13-17) will be perfect for easing back into action with a variety of teachers working with intuitive, improvisational and somatic practices. Teachers include Ros Warby, Peter Fraser, Kim Sargent-Wishart and Fiona Bryant.
Week 2 (Feb 20-24) is for those who want to really get moving with a variety of contemporary technique teachers. With Becky Hilton, Luke George, Simone Litchfield, Adam Wheeler and Raja Kelly (USA). Bookings Open Soon!
