MORE DANCE ON OUR SCREENS

Step x Step is a television pilot due for production in March/April 2010. it’s no secret step x step is primarily about dance, however it’s a pilot so we don’t have any real details on what it’s about. More details will be released soon.

What we do know is that Step x Step is where friends get together to create amazing dance sequences, explore new and old choreography, and experiment with all the theatrics that turn a dance into a show. Auditions for the show happened last Sunday and they had a great turn out with over 200 teens rocking up to show the creative team what they had. Lead by choreographer Kaylie Yee the audition process was relaxed and was really about the kids having fun and letting their dance skills and personality shine through. After learning the few lots of 8 to a remixed version of mission impossible the groups had time to go over it while a new group learnt the choreography. If only all auditions gave you time to do this… the day was a great success and call backs will be announced shortly on the SxS website. www.stepxstep.com.au
