PARKER IS IN TRANSIT

Transit is a new independent production from Sandra Parker, former Artistic Director of Melbourne’s Dance Works.
A unique blend of image, sound and movement, Transit is a multi-artform experience about the heightened sensations of transition and transformation. The work explores the gap between one place and another, a suspended moment, where transition becomes a space of possibilities, dream, hopes and desire. In transit: what is about to happen is still to come, and what has been left behind slips into the past; a gap in time filled with anticipation, fantasy and imagination…
Parker has reassembled the creative team behind the acclaimed 2009 production Out Of Light: Projection Designer Rhian Hinkley (Back to Back Theatre, Food Court, Soft), Berlin-based Australian Composer Steven Heather and Lighting Designer Jenny Hector. Transit will be performed by Melbourne solo artist Phoebe Robinson in the intimate setting of Horti Hall.
Address: Horti Hall (opposite Trades Hall), 31 Victoria Street, Melbourne
Season: Thursday 9 – Sunday 12 December
Times: Thursday & Friday 8.00pm
Saturday 5.00pm & 8.00pm
Sunday 6.00pm
Tickets: $28/$20
