PHLY CREW will represent Australia at World of Dance Grand Finals in US!

Now They Need Your Help to Get There and Win

The fabulously entertaining PHYLY CREW recently won the Melbourne qualifying event of the international World of Dance competition in June and have been selected to now represent Australia at the Grand Final in Pasadena, California, on July 22nd 2017.

Known for their fusion of comedy and hip hop, PHYLY CREW is most well know for making it to the Grand Final of Australia’s Got Talent TV show in 2016. However, at World of Dance the crew took a more serious approach with their winning routine. Group founder and main man James Barry explains:

“We based our routine on the ‘It’s Ok’ campaign that was publicly talked about last year that promoted that it’s okay for men to talk about depression and anxiety. Our performance is based on my own personal experience and relationship with anxiety, depression and suicide.”

PHYLY CREW also won this event last year, proving their consistency, but were unfortunately unable to attend the finals.

“Last year we won the same event and qualified for finals yet couldn’t afford to go so this year we are super keen to make it happen! We would appreciate all the help we can get so we can make it this year. Once again as always I can’t thank everyone that has supported us in the past and who is still supporting now. Saying we are lucky is an understatement. LETS GET TO WOD!” said James.

The group have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to get the talented bunch of 7 dancers to Pasadena. Please help PHLY CREW by donating at www.gofundme.com/get-phlycrew-to-world-of-dance-la
PHLY CREW features dancers James Barry, Neven Connolly, Neale Whittaker, Aimee Regan, Hannah Stewart, Mathew Lace and Jordan Grant.
