The anticipation in the Australian Dance scene is reaching fever pitch in the long-awaited return of So You Think You Can Dance to our TV screens. The Top 100 has been whittled down to a Top 20 already with filming well underway. Live shows will commence early next year with a break in filming over the festive season.
US singer and choreographer Paula Abdul is Network Ten’s choice for lead judge in the revamped reality Dance program. The three other judges named are highly respected choreographer Jason Gilkison, former Tap Dog Aaron Cash and entertainer Shannon Holtzapffel.
Abdul will head the judging panel on the show, to be hosted by Carrie Bickmore from The Project.
A multi-platinum recording artist with sales exceeding over 60 million worldwide, Abdul has won two Emmy Awards for her choreography, in addition to a Grammy, seven MTV Video Awards, two People’s Choice Awards and three American Music Awards.
Abdul says she is thrilled to be part of the So You Think You Can Dance Australia team and can’t wait to start work on the show.

“Aussie dancers are without a doubt some of the best in the world, and it is an honour for me to be a part of finding Australia’s best dancer,” Abdul has said.
So You Think You Can Dance Australia, will air in the New Year on Network Ten.

Stay tuned for all updates!
