DANCELIFE INTERVIEWS VERITY HUNT-BALLARD (MARY IN MARY POPPINS)

DanceLife writer Emma Bell caught up with the cast of Mary Poppins in Sydney the other week before the start of the Sydney season. Above is an interview with Verity Hunt-Ballard who plays Mary in the production.
Verity graduated from WAAPA in 2003. She is currently starring in the Disney stage production of Mary Poppins in the coveted role of Mary, to outstanding reviews. Her other theatrical credits include: Jersey Boys, The Rocky Horror Show, Virgins (The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Malthouse Theatre), After the Beep, Oklahoma, South Pacific, Eureka, and Metro Street, (The State Theatre Company of South Australia). Verity performed along-side Andrew Lippa in his Masterclass at The Adelaide Cabaret Festival, with improvisation spectacular -Spontaneous Broadway, and in sell-out cabaret Moments of Breathtaking Stupidity. Verity is featured on Eddie Perfects recording Drink Pepsi Bitch. Her screen credits include: Comedy Inc., G.M.A, Mornings with Kerri-Anne, Countdown and The Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala. In 2009 Verity won a Theatre Critics Award for Best Female Performance for her role in Metro Street.
