Jersey Boys to Return to Sydney

Auditions in July & August

Based on the music and story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, the international blockbuster musical Jersey Boys will return to Australia in September 2018 at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre.

Auditions for the cast of Jersey Boys will be held in July and early August this year. For information about auditions visit JerseyBoys.com.au and email

The 2010 Sydney season of Jersey Boys played for 15 months, making it one of the longest running musicals in Sydney history, attracting audiences both domestically and internationally.
This premiere season has been secured for Sydney by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW. NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall said the enduring story and songs of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons continue to resonate with audiences worldwide while finding new legions of fans through the acclaimed musical Jersey Boys.
Jersey Boys tells the true-life story and the rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons who were one of the most successful bands in pop music history. The band sold over 175 million records and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for their worldwide hits including Can’t Take My Eyes off You, Walk Like a Man, Bye Bye Baby, Sherry and Big Girls Don’t Cry, which all feature in the musical.
Jersey Boys opened on Broadway in November 2005 and closed in January 2017 after 11 acclaimed years. The West End production closed in March this year after nine years in London. Winner of 64 honours and audience awards worldwide Jersey Boys has played to over 23 million people and grossed in excess of US$2 billion worldwide.

“Easily the Best Musical Ever” – Sydney Morning Herald

“The Crowd Goes Wild” – New York Times

The Australian production of Jersey Boys opened to rave reviews on 4 July 2009 and went on to break box office records twice. Its run concluded in Perth on 30 June, 2013 having played to 1.6 million people across Australia and New Zealand. During its run the production won many awards including two 2010 Helpmann Awards (one for Best Musical) and two 2011 Sydney Theatre Awards, again for Best Musical.
Jersey Boys will open at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre in September 2018 for a strictly limited season. To join the waitlist for tickets and receive further information visit JerseyBoys.com.au
