Mary Poppins is into their official day three of rehearsals today down in Melbourne and all seems to be going swimmingly well. The cast are super keen and the creatives are having a fabulous time working with us talented Aussies.
BroadwayWorld.com claims the Australian production is among the first of many international versions of Mary Poppins planned over the next couple of years. So far the show has been seen by 4.2 million people worldwide and grossed $333 million.
Mary Poppins opened on Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre in November 2006 and has since played over 1,100 performances. The musical was nominated for seven 2007 Tony Awards, winning Best Scenic Design For A Musical.
