The Sound of Music will play Adelaide August 2016

The 2015-16 Australian tour of the lavish London Palladium production will play at the Festival Theatre in Adelaide from 9 August 2016.
This will follow seasons at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre from 13 December this year, Brisbane’s Lyric Theatre from 11 March 2016, and at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre from 13 May 2016.
The Sound of Music is producered Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Ian, John Frost and the Really Useful Group.
Tickets for the Adelaide season will go on sale to the general public on Monday 26 October.
This new Australian tour of The Sound of Music will be led by Amy Lehpamer as Maria Rainer and Cameron Daddo as Captain Georg von Trapp, starring alongside Marina Prior as Baroness Schraeder, Jacqueline Dark as Mother Abbess, Lorraine Bayly as Frau Schmidt and David James as Max Detweiler. Liesl will be played by Stefanie Jones and Rolf by newcomer Du Toit Bredenkamp.
