AUSTRALIA'S PIN UP PRINCE OF CABARET RETURNS TO SYDNEY AFTER RAVE REVIEWS

Can a cabaret show have too much attitude? Too much pizzazz? Not when the star is Tom Sharah, winner of the 2009 Sydney Cabaret Showcase. Too much is just enough! After wowing sold out Audiences at The Adelaide Cabaret Festival and The Noosa Long Weekend Festival, Tom returns to Sydney to have audiences laughing and crying at the follies of Gen Y.
A talented singer with an instinctive feel for comedy, 22-year old Tom never lets up in his full-on, original debut show with stories and frank observations of life, woven through a witty repertoire of pop and musical theatre songs, old and new.
Tom is as talented a stand-up comedian as he is a singer. Whether confessing to a pubescent Spice Girls obsession or setting the scene for the ups and downs of today’s young Romantic-with-Attitude…from heartbreak to stalker, Tom will have you in stitches.
Seasoned cabaret writer/performer and co-writer of the show Phil Scott says, “Singer/comedian Tom Sharah is the cabaret voice of Generation Y, and what a voice. This guy was born to be on stage!” Reviews from his performances in Adelaide recognised his charismatic appeal:
“…the natural all-rounder Tom Sharah, whose debut cabaret show Que Sera Sharah …was a breath of fresh air; honest, camp, beguiling and fun.” – Sydney Morning Herald
“(Tom Sharah) has a great music-theatre voice that he uses with taste and intelligence beyond his years….he was extremely, delightfully funny.” – The Australian
“His impressively smooth vocals are as well-suited to pop as to musical theatre and his personality is evident as he makes the songs his own. Sharah is not just a new-age youth having a go at cabaret, he understands the intimacy of the medium and the power of music as a storytelling medium.” – The Adelaide Advertiser
