The Sydney Fringe Festival has announced the inclusion of two exciting headline shows by the multi award-winning Head First Acrobats, who are set to take over the Fool’s Paradise which includes two electric circus domes in Sydney’s The Entertainment Quarter from 29th August – 12th October 2025. Sydney audiences are set for a dazzling spectacle of glittering performances, with the talented team from Head First Acrobats also curating this year’s Fool’s Paradise program, showcasing the best in circus, burlesque, and variety for both adults and children.
The company’s flagship show has received a new skin as
Elixir Revived. The smash hit show will open the season from 29th August in the circus dome, The Vault, demonstrating why this company is renowned for their ability to cleverly walk a very saucy tightrope between comedy and jaw-dropping acrobatics, laced with a healthy dose of Aussie larrikinism! Hailed by critics as ‘Cirque du Soleil meets Magic Mike’, this wild, postapocalyptic circus narrative comedy is packed with jaw-dropping stunts, irreverent humour, and world-class acrobatics. Elixir Revived follows a group of enthusiastic, slightly bumbling acrobatic scientists who
attempt to create the elixir of life. Head First Acrobats Co-Founder
Thomas Gorham, said,
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to curate and programme the Fool’s Paradise site for the Sydney Fringe, there is so much variety on site, and plenty of shows that we have never worked with before. The programme is bursting and there is something for everyone. I have a feeling this is going to be the biggest Sydney Fringe festival ever, and we will be leading the charge with our headliners, Elixir Revived and Lash Out, two masterful circus works that we have put our heart and souls into.”
For those looking for a bit more girl power in their circus, the incredible line up of ladies from
Lash Out will also bring their hilarious circus cabaret sensation to The Vault for the show’s Australian premiere from 23rd September. Led by the legendary Burlesque Hall of Famer, Memphis Mae with her razor tongue and stage presence to match—Lash Out is a night of empowerment, elegance, and raw talent. Expect a whirlwind of aerial acrobatics, cabaret sass, and high-impact circus acts, delivered by some of the fiercest performers in the business! The show features the extraordinary aerialist Jessica Robbins, known for her standout performances in the international hit Matador, Australia’s very own strip teasing, fire breathing, sword swallowing, Jacqueline Furey; and Chelsea Angell, a hula hoop virtuoso whose commanding energy and technical brilliance light up the stage. CEO
Patrick Kennedy said,
“We’re delighted to welcome Head First Acrobats back to Sydney Fringe with a season that’s as daring as it is joyful. In a world that often feels off-balance, their blend of virtuosic physicality, subversive humour and huge theatrical bravado offers exactly the right kind of cathartic spectacle audiences are craving.” Fool’s Paradise will run at The Entertainment Quarter from 29th August until 12th October 2025 with shows running from Tuesday to Sunday each week. The program includes everything from mind blowing kids shows, to gravity-defying feats and after-dark delights – Fool’s Paradise is where Fringe dreams take flight! Bold, brilliant, and bursting with personality, this will be the ultimate day or night out at the Sydney Fringe Festival.
