Young Actors for The Bodyguard Sydney Season Announced

Four Boys play Character of Fletcher

The four young men who will share the role of Fletcher in the opening season of THE BODYGUARD in Sydney next month have been announced by the producers Michael Harrison, David Ian and John Frost.

Fletcher is the son of Rachel Marron, the lead in the show, and will be played by Rome Champion (10 years old, of Pyrmont), Tyrese Medina (8, Russell Lea), Chetachi Nwaogazi (10, Yagoona) and Joshua Scott (11, Carss Park).

The 2017 Australian tour of THE BODYGUARD will commence at the Sydney Lyric Theatre on 21 April, before playing at the Lyric Theatre, Brisbane from 19 July, then moving to the Regent Theatre, Melbourne from 24 August.

The principal cast for THE BODYGUARD includes Paulini in the lead as Rachel Marron, Kip Gamblin as bodyguard Frank Farmer and Prinnie Stevens as Nicki Marron, alongside Andrew Hazzard as Sy Spector, Patrick Williams as Bill Devaney, Brendan Irving as the Stalker, Damien Bermingham as Tony, and Glaston Toft as Ray Court.

The ensemble cast comprises Kirrah Amosa, Anthony Bartley, Samantha Bruzzese, Amy Campbell, Olivia Cariniato, Chris Van Doren, Heath Keating, Bree Langridge, Sasha Lian, Samuel McKeown II, Lachlan Martin, Priscilla Stavrou, Maxwell Trengove, Blake Varga and Geoffrey Winter.

Based on the smash-hit Warner Bros 1992 film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, and written by the acclaimed, Oscar-nominated screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Big Chill, The Empire Strikes Back), THE BODYGUARD features a book by Oscar winner Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman).

Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard Frank Farmer is hired to protect superstar singer Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge – what they don’t expect is to fall in love.
